Sent in the app to GULC EA about a week ago, thought I would try to get this going.

Where else are you going to apply? Did you Chicago ED?baberuth3 wrote:For me:

CALI(s): 1
Summer: Not sure yet
Also, Duke/Columbia/Dartmouth/Penn/UChicago/Brown undergrad (not sure if that matters)

I've applied to Vandy, Georgetown, and GW so far, and am planning to do Chicago ED.
Did you wind up at GULC, Encyclopedia? How was the transition in as a transfer?EncyclopediaOrange wrote:Y'all started early.

Because s/he wants to work in Biglaw and can't get into one of the top 13 schools...grades?? wrote:IDK why anyone would want to transfer to a non-t13 law school anymore
Don't feed the trolls. This guy has 50+ posts in the past week trying to make "T13" happen. The rankings are based on 2015 figures. The class of 2016 at GULC crowd-sourced their firm placement and found that over 50% went to the biggest firms on the East Coast and CA. Doesn't include Art III FC's and those who opted out of Biglaw. The whole ranking adjustment is clearly political, and will likely revert based on recent figures. Maybe GULC will actually lower its class size now.Harvard_Naw wrote:Because s/he wants to work in Biglaw and can't get into one of the top 13 schools...grades?? wrote:IDK why anyone would want to transfer to a non-t13 law school anymore
People on this thread are clearly putting in the work to put themselves in a position to advance their careers as far as they can. No need to dump on their successes with your sarcastic, douchey comments.

If there are any former transfers, or people with personal knowledge, I'd love to hear about transfer students luck with EIW here (or in general).
Thanks and good luck to everyone!
I actually didn't go to Brown, but I think most people would place it in line with those other schools as right below HYPS in terms of undergrad prestige. In any case, Brown is undoubtedly a fantastic school.34iplaw wrote:tis a joke.CheddarArachnid wrote:Aren't you a 0L?34iplaw wrote:Someone went to Brown for UG.baberuth3 wrote: Also, Duke/Columbia/Dartmouth/Penn/UChicago/Brown undergrad (not sure if that matters)
Nothing wrong with Brown at all. It's a fantastic school, but those are not the institutions that people would jump to place it as peers with.
Granted, the post was made a bit too hastily without close enough reading. The thread was bumped immediately after this whole GULC debacle, so I thought the above poster was putting down GULC (obviously wrong with the date the top post was made). Mistakes were made.
