Second thoughts, T2(50s) to Northwestern

Hi, I am planning on transfering to NW, however I am having some second thoughts. I will be leaving law review, 85% scholarship, and friends behind. I ultimately want to practice in Chicago, and was initially all in when I received an offer. However I have several interviews through the patent program with big Chicago firms, but I do not know what that will lead to. Is it really worth the 90k or so extra in debt? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Are you 100% in on IP? Have you been mass-mailing? Do you just want BigLaw?

If yes to all 3 (really 1 and 3) you should stay. But you should also mass-mail.

When are the interviews, and when is the deadline?

Are the interviews for big law in Chicago?

Are you sure about 90k? I would expect the difference would be larger?

If you are considering staying put (which may make sense) you should ask your school if they will convert you 85% scholarship to a full scholarship.

To answer most of the questions. I have three that are for big law in Chicago, however, I do not know if that will yield anything at all. I don't want to stay in my current city long term, my current school does well in my city but not as great outside. I am 100% IP with an engineering bachelors. I want to start in big law, but I am but sure if I want to stay in it long term. And from my conversations with my current school they seem reluctant to bump my scholarship up. Also, I have paid my deposit, and am waiting to hear from OCI bid results.

you already bid at NW? you should stick with whatever school you're bidding at.
