Berkeley v. UCLA

I got into both and I'm having a hard time deciding.

Berkeley pros: small scholly, no grades (yay), possibly law review, very good communication, and higher ranked.

UCLA pros: I want to practice in so cal, I won't have to pay for housing bc of family.

Everything else is pretty much the same, need to decide by tomorrow. Thoughts?!

Can't go wrong with either one! Berkeley grads have no problem practicing in SoCal, UCLA is also the Top 2 players in SoCal. You're in a great position if you want to practice in SoCal. I would say decide based on long-term career goals, Berkeley will probably place better in clerkships. Also, is the small scholly you're getting from Berkeley enough to cover some or all of your housing cost? If so then Berkeley seems to be the way to go!

Also, would you mind revealing how you were able to get a scholly from Berkeley as a transfer? did you negotiate for it or did they offer it to you?

Congrats again!

Berkeley. You'll have the same opportunities as UCLA students plus more.
