If you want to practice in Southern California, go to a school located in Southern California.

Loyola has a strong alumni network and strong regional ties so I would pick it over Hastings for sure if it's an option and you're sure about wanting Southern CA post-grad.

Did you apply to UCI? Where else did you apply?

I'd say Loyola > Hastings but not by much. Loyola would be better just because you want to practice in Southern California. Did you apply to USD? You'd be in a decent spot there and could likely snag a medium to small firm through their OCI. However, transferring to any CA TT is really risky.

What about other top 30 schools? I'd think you'd probably get in somewhere there.

Yes, I did. I am still waiting to hear back from UCLA, USC, UC Davis, UC Irvine, Loyola, Pepperdine, Chapman.

Currently waitlisted to Georgetown and accepted to USD/UC Hastings, so far.

Wouldn't staying at a CA TTTT be riskier than transferring to a CA TT?
