odds for Yale or t14 with a 4.1 gpa

the dilemma
-Some of the t14 transfer deadlines have now passed--of those, Berkeley is the only t14 that I applied to.

-Yesterday my current ttt law school gave out award notices and I found that I CALI'd all 4 of my Spring classes (in addition to one CALI in the Fall Semester)

the question
Would it be worthwhile to send apps into Yale and the other t14 Law schools in which the transfer deadline has not passed?

the numbers

school=California TTT
gpa=4.0 +
class rank= school does not give out rankings, but with 5 CAli's and straight A's I am likely #1
undergrad= finished undergrad as class rank #1, summa cum laude

thanks...i appreciate the advice! I really want to stay in California--so hoping on Berkeley/UCLA. Will definitely be throwing at least 2 apps to other T14s, however.

I would blanket.

I don't think UCLA will end up being worth it, honestly. You'll be paying sticker, so going back East to finish up at a better school will likely provide better options, even if you want to get back to Cali. Still apply though.

Also, keep in mind schools' OCI rules and the extent transfers are allowed to partake.

Huge grats on the grades! Get out of that TTT!

Double check with the school itself, but I'm pretty sure the consensus around TLS is that transfers aren't able to fully participate in Cornell's OCI. If that is the case, you should most likely want to avoid going there depending on your employment goals.

NYU has a 7/1 deadline, and Columbia is 7/15, if you're starting apps to east coast schools.

This was confirmed by Cornell when I visited -- transfers are accepted too late in the summer.

You should get into Berkley. You can apply to Yale but the odds aren't good. Yale doesn't accept many transfers outside of the t14 schools. I'd apply to any other t14s you're interested to that are still accepting applications.

For the past two years, at least one Cornell transfer has done our OCI (the "August Job Fair"). I don't know how, but it happens. I still wouldn't go absent a guarantee of AJF-eligibility.
