I'm getting really nervous that spots are filling up. My app is in, I'm still waiting on Rank and GPA to post (Registrar says at least another week). Do you think I should contact admissions and let them know my situation? Grades have posted, so I can calculate my GPA, but nothing official.

Anything is useful. Send it in and say that you will follow up with official GPA and rank when you receive them.

Long time lurker here. Applied Sunday and received an interview request today. The e-mail mentioned that I am invited to an interview because my application is undergoing "a preliminary review." Is this common to all and what exactly does preliminary review mean? I'm a borderline applicant so I am not expecting a quick turnaround.

That's exactly what mine said. Don't sell yourself short. I got an acceptance 4 business days after I submitted my app, and I thought I was a borderline candidate. I'd recommend scheduling your interview for as soon as possible.
