Transfer from Harvard to Stanford

Hi, I am a 0L, about to start at Harvard this fall. I am very interested in transferring to Stanford in my 2L. I understand that Harvard only has Honors (=4.0), Pass (=3.0), Low Pass (=2.0), and Fail (=0) grades. Last year, there were 2 transfers from Harvard to Stanford, but the transfer GPAs at Stanford are insane (75% = 3.97, 50% = 3.78, 25% =3.67). If I can only obtain passes (GPA 3.0) at Harvard, is there no chance of a transfer to Harvard?

Why are you starting at Harvard if you want to go to Stanford?
I wouldn't expect that you need high grades to transfer to Stanford from Harvard since they're peer schools. Just don't have bad grades. So if you're at a 3.0, I'd say you're not guaranteed of anything. But it's hard to know.
The GPAs don't really apply to you since the vast vast majority of people transferring to Stanford aren't doing so from peer schools.

I'm guessing because OP didn't get into Stanford.
It's not an unreasonable question/situation. Stanford is a far more selective LS than Harvard, even though TLS considers them peer schools

I think that one is pretty obvious. But I'm looking for more information. It might be more advisable for the OP to just wait a cycle and try to go to Stanford depending on the situation.

Or you can just do one semester/year visiting SLS from HLS, which would make it easier on grades.
