Hey guys I'm probably going to be at Median at UCLA/Vanderbilt/Texas. I'm gunning for big law and I'm not sure I have a great chance from my school.
Two questions
1) Could I possibly transfer to a T-14( Georgetown/Northwestern/Michigan)?
2) Would it be worth it? Would my chances of getting Big Law increase?

The answer to your first question is always going to be "we have no idea, give it a shot." It's possible you may be able to move up a few slots.
The second answer is tougher. I'd say probably not worth it to transfer at median, but that once again depends on the school you're accepted to and whether that give you greater leverage. Once again, a black box. I transferred in the top 11% of my class or so and ended up doing well at OCI along with the rest of my transfer group but we were all top 15% and better from a T2. Transferring from a T20-T10 at median is harder to determine.

You're anon, there's no reason to be coy about which school you go to
Where do you go to school and what big law market do you plan on targeting?

1. What's your scholarship situation like? If it's good (e.g., Chancellor's), it's hard to imagine what benefit you'd get from transferring.
2. How do you know you're median? Each class's* mean ranges from 3.410 - 3.425. You haven't received your spring grades, have you?

1) I have a less than half the tuition scholarship
2) I'm estimating based on my fall grades and how I did this semester
