Top Law Schools

So my school has a mandatory 4 hour exam, after finals, so we know how we stand in relation to the bar-tested materials.

I really, REALLY do not want to go and do this. They say it's not graded, isn't on the transcript, but if you don't go, you cannot register for classes for fall.

I am 100% set on transferring. Think it's a big deal if I just don't go? Would that be something they would say in the Dean's cert form?

I think the results will dictate how grades are awarded. Those who do poorly will flunk out no matter how good their exam is. If you're transferring out anyway you could probably uncover massive fraud, which would make you pretty famous and do 1000s a good service.

If you got good grades last time your exams are probably as good. If you did laughably bad on purpose on that bar test, and they failed you out then you'd be sitting on a multimillion dollar class action lawsuit. More importantly, you'd probably crack the 30 under 30 list.

hahaha my school has these two I wonder if were in the same school*? But last year I did not go and nothing happened (Im part time) I was really worried about it too but to be honest I later found out that many other people did not attend either as people go on vacations immediately after finals.

That's so stupid. Why should you have to justify your transfer decision to them?

They don't care about the justification, they just want to guilt OP into staying so they don't lose people in the top 20% and above in their school.

Some Dean of something reached out to me by email when I started requesting transcripts and dean's certificates to talk about transferring. By this time I had already been accepted at GULC EA and told him that I was leaving. I told him my decision was purely for better job prospects, and he understood.

There's nothing mandatory about meeting or talking to someone about your transfer. If you want to negotiate scholarship or whenever or if there is a specific reason you're leaving, then you should. But if you're just leaving for better job prospects tell them that and they'll understand.

I'd imagine being a scholarship/not being a scholarship student factors in. If somebody is paying full price, and does really well then transferring probably causes a bigger stir. They're losing that person's tuition and the potential for alumni donations. The fact that most students at these schools never practice law impacts the school as well. They're competing against places where tuition is less than half the yearly income.
