anybody have not waived their right to rec letter?
(i think that;s what it is when you are actually trying to see what the letter contains?)

what could be the consequence- will the admissions view it negatively?

i am asking a prof who barely knows me and am nervous about the contents of the letter.
i cant help it because i barely took the time to know any of my professors-
in the end, it's a number game.
but just to make sure i wont be actually harmed by such vague letter, i want to read it before including it.

help? advice?

I've always waived the right, but every time I've asked for a letter of rec, the professor gave me a copy, anyway (along with the one they sent to LSAC).

They say it's viewed negatively on the LSAC site, but I'm not sure if that's really true or not. Either way, I wouldn't risk it. I'd ask the professor for a copy after they sent it to LSAC if they don't already give it to you.
