It sounds like full time students got asked at noon today, via email, if they were still interested in spots. Maybe we'll get something similar this week.

Yeah, sorry for the scare, I misspoke, but I still think it's relevant. We'd be part of their graduating class.

Congrats! Can't help but think that they send all their acceptances yesterday, and the rest of us are going to be rejected today. I hope not but it doesn't make sense that they would admit only one person yesterday; I'm sure all of the acceptances were sent yesterday.

Congrats! Can't help but think that they send all their acceptances yesterday, and the rest of us are going to be rejected today. I hope not but it doesn't make sense that they would admit only one person yesterday; I'm sure all of the acceptances were sent yesterday.

If this were the case, I wouldn't be shocked. I doubt they'd reject though. More likely they'd tell you to "keep waiting" and see if a spot opens up.

Each transfer spot is worth around $100K to them, if they need to offer a spot a week into next semesters classes, they'll do it.

In case any one wants to read the continuing waitlist e-mail:

"I wanted to send you a quick e-mail update on the transfer wait list situation at Georgetown. Our class is currently full, and although we do not anticipate making many new offers of admission, these things do sometimes have a way of changing quickly. We're monitoring the transfer class on a daily basis.

If spaces do become available, the Committee will move quickly.
While we hope that you can continue to stay with us on the wait list, we understand if you need to make other plans. For our part, we promise to keep you up to date on what's going on and will send you another update by August 17th, if you haven't heard from us before then.

If you do not wish to remain in consideration, please reply to this e-mail (admis@law.georgetown.edu) to withdraw from the wait list.
