Top Law Schools

I did well first semester, and am optimistic that I can maintain for the second semester, however, I didn't get a top grade in any classes. Does that matter, or are schools just as happy to see that a student did consistently well in all the classes?

It doesn't matter. I got the highest grade in one of my classes, but one of my friends has a higher overall GPA. He got some interviews that I didn't. Consistency is more important cause only like 4-5 people will get a highest grade award in the entire section

I think it matters on the fringes. When examining two otherwise equal candidates, for example, I would favor the one with highest grade awards. It shows a measure of excellence in an area of the law compared to one's peers. I also find these awards more impressive when only awarded to one student. It is my understanding that at some schools, four or five students per class will get them.

The person who got a 100 definitely know more than the person who got a 98
