Top Law Schools

So I am looking to transfer and have already sent in some applications but some still havent opened up and it got me thinking. I started to look into when we would actually hear back and some schools are not until the beginning of August.

That seems crazy late. For me atleast I am thinking about schools in the PA & NY area and im from NC so I am supposed to just wait until like 2 weeks before school then rush to move all my stuff up there before classes begin? Does anyone have any advice for how to handle this? Should I have an apt picked out for each school I am thinking about transferring to?

Also what about the timing as far as putting a deposit down. If I were to get into one school fairly early (assuming there is a deposit deadline) am I just screwed as far as the ones who look at apps later ? Will I have to either suck it up and pay deposit and chance losing it while I wait to hear from the other schools?

Yes its crazy late, but its the reality of the transfer game. You may find out from some in late june/early July, but that is about as early as they come.
