UCLA/USC to H/S?

Hello, I finished up my first semester at about top 5%. Making the big (possibly unlikely) assumption that my spring grades are about the same, any ideas on if that would give me a great/good/decent/slight chance at Harvard or Stanford. Thanks, in advance, for the help.

I'd say decent chance at H and slight chance at S

If you're top 5%, I'd say you have a good chance at both (not a lock but a realistic chance). Stanford seems to give people at Cali schools a boost. And Harvard took quite a few people in the top 5% to top 10% from top 20 schools last year. But your GPA and softs do matter. And I don't know about those.
