WUSTL to T14

I just received my grades back after first semester and I'm slightly disappointed. I finished with a 3.73 overall with high grades in three classes with one class substantially damaging my cumulative GPA. This places me in the top 25%, and I will be working as hard as I can to move as highly as I can this next semester.
I have spoken with a few previous WUSTLers on this forum already who have been extremely helpful as I've begun to navigate the transfer process. I don't think it can hurt to get some more opinions, however. I would really like to be in Chicago after this semester at either Northwestern or preferably University of Chicago.
How would you evaluate my chances of transferring to UChi through their ED application? And how would you evaluate the kind of performance I would need this semester to at least land a transfer acceptance to NU? Michigan?
I have a full tuition scholarship to WUSTL. I would be willing to take the extra debt at NU or UChi because I would be able to live in the area for free and devote those savings to the cost of attending either school. And I want to be in Chicago long-term.
Thank you so much to anyone who offers advice!
