Worth the Transfer

Part-time 1L student at a Tier 3/4 - Ranked #1 in the class.
Current school offered to let me switch to full-time and pay $15K to finish my degree (would require an extra ~$40K in living expenses), or stay in part-time and pay $17,500 (no extra money required, b/c I would continue to work full-time) to finish my degree.
Applied to transfer to a Tier 2 school within 20 miles
They offered $10K over the next two years, requiring $38K to finish my degree (as well as ~$40K in living expenses).
What should I do? Is the jump to a Tier 2 school worth it, or will the work experience that I will continue to acquire as a law clerk and continuing part-time, supersede the school?

Can't really give you advice unless you're more specific about which T2 it is. Not all T2s are created equal.
Edit: I'm inclined to say transfer. Your job prospects at a TTT/TTTT are dismal regardless of class rank, at a T2 you're at least giving yourself a chance at finding decent legal employment.

This is terrible advice in my opinion. There's no way a #1 at a tier 3 or even a tier 4 should transfer and pay sticker at a tier 2. Without knowing exact schools, this is still a bad idea.
