Hey guys,

Which schools offer transfer aid whether it be merit or need-based?

HYS offer need-based aid like they do for their regular students. Boalt offers limited need-based aid.(from what I could tell from their transfer thread) WUSTL offers merit aid. Those are the only ones I know of. Others might know more.

GULC offers need-based aid. I also heard that Boalt started offering merit-based aid this year, but I'd check out their thread.

Thanks for the input guys. Hopefully this will fill up with more schools so people can use it to decide where to apply. I ended up deciding to take a year off because the cost of my new school is too much, and I didn't think there was value in staying at my old school.

Explain, you're taking a year between 1L & 2L year? Then going where?

Well, it's for personal, family-financial, reasons so I am going to work for at least a year (could actually be more). When the issue is done, I will look at whatever schools offer aid before deciding to go there because I just don't see there being value in paying 150k as a transfer when I am probably limited to T15-T20. Here's hoping Berkeley would be an exception though and would let me in. Also, I am interested in an MBA, and I am more interested in finance so it's really 225,000 and it's really kind of like wasting the money for a JD. But I have already wasted some money for a JD. So, if I can find a dual JD/MBA for a decent cost that's what I am looking for.
