Should I make the move to UT?

Ok, so here we go. I am currently at one of vandy/wustl/emory. I wanted to go to Texas originally but got waitlisted and didnt get in. I am from Texas and have all my family there.
I was below median at my school (one of the 3 above), but applied anyway to UT hoping to get in. Somehow, I was accepted. I already have an offer at a firm in Texas for next summer that can likely lead to a full time job, which I will be happy with. Now that my deadline to really commit myself is nearing, I am a little conflicted. Would essentially moving closer to home and to an area I likely want to live in be worth it? There doesnt seem to be any immediate social or employment advantage I can think of anymore. I did not like my current school, but it has grown on me as the year has gone on...

Yes. Being at law school where you want to end up makes a lot of sense, especially since your current school is not as well known for national reach.

Obviously, the big question is money. What is the difference in the cost between the two schools?
I think, based on what you said thus far, it is in your best interest to transfer since you seem to want to practice in Texas. But it does depend on the cost.

Yes. In state tuition at UT should save you roughly 35-40k in tuition over the next two years (unless you have big money at your current school--in which chase, don't go).

It would be cheaper based on in-state tuition. my gut is just telling me to hesitate for some reason. Guess I should ignore it and keep chuggin along?

This is a personal decision that you have to make for yourself, not sure anyone here can really help you with this one.
That said, transferring to UT sounds like a no brainer.

Thanks. This is kinda what I thought all along. It seems like a no brainer. I guess getting cold feel is normal. Hopefully socially it will be a smooth transition as well.

You will *save* money by transferring? No question it's a good idea, then.
