Top Law Schools

Confused transfer student here: Recently accepted to T15 from a T2 school. Thankfully, accepted before OCI bidding closes. I think I've worked out how the pre-select/lottery system works, but I am not sure where to start. I was top 20% at my previous university, but how does that translate, if at all, to OCI postings from firms where "top 33% is required," or "top 25% preferred," etc.? I don't want to be foolish with bidding, but biglaw aspirations are the reason for the transfer. Grateful for any advice.

You should probably bid v50-100 and/or NLJ250 firms. I wouldn't bid too many v25 w/o compelling reasons

I wouldn't stress the cut off grade it says in the slot. Everyone will prefer the one with better grades out of 2 identical people, but you probably shouldn't bid for the most competitive places. Different places will view your GPA differently, but it's probably safe to assume you'll be perceived as somewhere b/w top quarter and median.

Lol uh... no this completely depends on your 1L school, your grades/rank, and your new school. If anything on average you're going to be looked at as a median student.
