How deep does YHS reach into the lower t14?

Does YHS ever take students from the lower t14 who have a gpa that places them slightly above median? I have a fairly unique background, which I think played a role in getting me into where I am now (I was well below the 25th in terms of LSAT, non-urm). I am just curious if they ever reach that deep into the lower t14. Trying to decide if I should just throw an app. or two out and see what happens. Thinking that there may be a chance that someone likes my story. I would be eligible for full need-aid, so the coa would be about the same. Only cost seems to be paying for the app(s)? Should I go for it, or is it a complete waste of time?

no one can say for sure, but IME you need top 10-5% for H and 1-5% for Y/S.

Just how deep is your depth ? Primary consideration for transfers is first year law school performance.

You will never get HYS at slightly-above median. It's a waste of time.

If your interesting background is an MPP/M.S./MBA/all of the above, there is precedent at H.
