Top 30 school with full scholarship in region I might want to practice in/have strong ties to
GPA after first semester: approx. 3.9
Goals: federal clerkship, big law, eventually in-house
1L summer: no SA but paid in house
What schools are worth applying to transfer to/what are my chances?

Re: What schools worth applying to/chances?
Depends on the T30, but I wouldn't recommend transferring unless you get into HYSCCN. IMO, here are your chances:
YS: crapshoot, likely out.
HLS: 50/50 depending on your T30
CCN: Likely in at all 3 (NYU and UChi for sure)
Rest of T14: all but certain

I feel like class rank is important to know before people can give you accurate advice.

Technically yes, but 3.9 is almost certainly top 5% at any T30, even those with a 4.33 A+ and a 3.35 curve.yomisterd wrote:I feel like class rank is important to know before people can give you accurate advice.

School doesn't rank 1Ls after first semester, but based on previous years, I'm well within top 5%
