Chances for GULC Early Action

I attend a school tied for 31st in the 2014 US News rankings and finished in the top 5% of my class.

I have always wanted to live and work in DC, so GULC seems like the obvious choice. Looking at past statistics, it seems like have an strong chance at early action admittance for Fall 2015, but I have also seen some anecdotes of people in the Top 5ish percent at T1 schools who have been rejected.

Aside from getting strong LORs, is there anything I need to be doing to make sure I am admitted? Does anyone know if they are looking for something specific in a personal statement?

My school was tied for #40, I had a 3.8, and I was accepted to GULC early action. I did have good softs. At any rate, I would say that your chances are good, and I will likely see you at school in Fall 2015.

Your GPA gives you a great shot. I used my personal statement to talk about topical interests in the law and how Georgetown can help me pursue these interests. My PS for transfering were more "Why X law school" and less traditional PS.
