Transfer or not?

Im P/T TTTT at Cooley top 9%, recently got accepted to American with 21 credits. I want to practice in NY/DC. Should i transfer to American or reapply for spring transfer with 30 credits? What about OCI? If i go to American now i can still do OCI and mass mail DC/NY firm. But if i stay for another semester I'd be 3L in OCI. Any thought?

Either way, you're fucked. Take the option with less debt.

Top...9%? What a weird cutoff. I didn't know schools did anything other than 5% and 10%.
Guess this is Cooley we're talking about.

OP here. I know im fucked. but Im leaning toward staying for another semester and spring transfer.

Between those options, I would honestly drop out of law school. No offense meant, but American doesn't give you much of a shot to practice law either and is way too expensive.
It sounds like you think American will get you big law. It won't (save for some miracle and you end up as the top 1 or 2 students). The odds show it is more likely than not that it won't get you a legal job at all.
If you must, I would work on getting your grades up and transferring somewhere else that will be cheap. You likely won't have good options in NYC/DC considering the top schools won't take you and the ones after that really don't give you a great chance for legal employment and are way overpriced. I guess you could try for GW or Fordham but I don't think they are worth it for the $. Would be nice to not have Cooley on the resume though.
