Is there not a Uchicago transfer thread? Been under review since 6/18...is there any movement for anyone????

Lol there was a thread for ED applicants, but everyone stopped posting before any decisions came out. I got deferred and have been on hold since 5/27.

Looks like last year the first RD decisions came out around July 10, so we probably still have a while to wait.

yeah had mine on the 30th, not especially intense or anything. just an opportunity for them to ask u some questions and stuff. I have no idea whether it's indicative of likely getting an offer...i know interview invites at Penn for example are basically soft offers

Great thanks for the reply! I couldn't find the threads from previous years, any idea if they have done this before/ led to offers?

Great thanks for the reply! I couldn't find the threads from previous years, any idea if they have done this before/ led to offers?

the posters from last year's thread mostly edited out their original posts so it was hard to see if the interview was indicative of anything....but there's a rising 3L at UChi from my t20 who said that more than half of his transfer class got interview invites, but there were a few that didn't.

I took it to mean that the interview-candidates were admitted earlier in the cycle and the ones without interviews were admitted later, when they didn't have time to interview them...or that the interview doesn't really mean much. Didn't help my anxiety at all haha
