Has anyone every gotten accepted as a transfer student but change their mind and refuse the acceptance? If so, I would love to hear your stories about why you did so and what, if any, drawbacks, regrets, or beneficial things occurred as a result.

Er, not much to say really.
I declined a transfer admit to accept another transfer admit.

I think OP's wondering if anyone's ended up staying at their current school, instead of transferring.

Hah thanks for the input! I kind of meant for it to be a "Why did you stay at your current school over transferring?" question, but I appreciate the response.

Im sure people have been accepted that have ended up declining for a better school or staying at their own school. The only story to be had is the one that ends with ... "and I transferred."

Lots of people apply to transfer with no intention of leaving their current school. They do it to leverage scholarship. For those who are unsure at the time they apply and want to explore their options, I'm sure some have stayed put for financial/personal reasons.
