rank came out and I am ranked no. 15 in my 15th which is only top 15% as well... its a 4.33 scaled curved to a 3.0. I thought that being 15th in my class would put me in a much better spot

What does it matter if that's not the case at your school?

I'm still trying to decipher what this means. Anyone have any luck?

I assumed it meant he was ranked #15 at a 15th ranked law school but that it only came up as top 15%...but yeah i was confused too

OP, 3.8 is top 15% at my school.

i think it's just a typo. looks like she goes to shu per http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 7#p7740517 ??

anyways, OP is just complaining about how rampant ttt grade inflation makes her grade inflated grades not be as high as she wanted.

Here's what I thought it meant:

"I am ranked #15 within the 15th percentile of the top 15%." So they're #15 within the top 2.25%. Assuming 15 is the cap at 2.25%, then there would have to be a class size of at least 666. GEORGETOWN STRIKES AGAIN.

Doesn't SHU graduate like 300 people? How can #15 in the class only be top 15%?

#15 in a class of 300 is also top 69%, but top 15% is equally true and more impressive.

Counselor why do you feel top 15% in that situation is more impressive?
