Need advice on where to apply

Post by mjtadros » Tue Jun 10, 2014 11:18 pm

Hey guys, just got my grades. I'm at a T140 (I know, really lowly ranked) and I have a 3.75, but I missed some classes because my grandmother passed away from cancer right before finals. Our rankings haven't been released yet, but based off of past years I'd wager to say I'm in the top 10%.

I'm really leaning towards schools like:

Berkeley (a reach I know, but still trying)
UCLA
USC
Pepperdine

My current law school is in NYC, but I have a lot of ties to CA. Went to school and grew up there and I even attended Berkeley undergrad.

Is it even worth it to apply to these or am I just wasting my time. Thanks for the help!

Apply to these three if you want to work in CA.

Cut out Pepperdine. Others are worth a gamble.

Also, I'd throw in some non-CA schools. CLS places very well in CA.
