How does one become "infamous" for being bottom 25%Anonymous User wrote:Haha. He is retiring this year, so I think he just stopped giving a crap about being PC. Apparently he wrote the letter of rec for the infamous student in the bottom 25% of class.jdx2014 wrote:Your Prof sounds like he just wants to get rid of you

what is the gunner who is always wrong?
Sparty sucks but this is true. You won't be accepted. Maybe GULC but that's not worth giving up your full ride.sparty99 wrote:Who the hell is going to accept you? You are MEDIAN at a T20. Slow your roll and enjoy your T20 school. YOU AINT GOING ANYWHERE.
No... not even a little.Anonymous User wrote:I was thinking median at top 20 might be as competitive as top 10% at a t2? Is this rational?
OK thanks.Danger Zone wrote:No... not even a little.Anonymous User wrote:I was thinking median at top 20 might be as competitive as top 10% at a t2? Is this rational?
If your T20 is a strong regional, stay there. A full ride from e.g. UCLA is a significantly better gig than sticker at MVP. Whatever better shot MVP gives you at OCI (which isn't much if it's Michigan) is not worth an additionally $120,000 by any stretch of the imagination.Anonymous User wrote:I got into an MVP! To those that are considering doing a transfer go for it!
i knew it when i read dat OP about bottom 25% going to NU...jdmonkey wrote:You raise a good point. Conventional TLS wisdom is more or less exactly what I just said. Transferring to sticker when you have a full ride already is almost always a bad idea.jdmonkey wrote:You raise a good point. Conventional TLS wisdom is also that median at a T20 isn't transferring to MVP.ymmv wrote:Conventional TLS wisdom is more or less exactly what I just said. This is true. Though with Michigan's recent employment figures I wouldn't be surprised if they've had to cast a wider applicant net than usual.flawschoolkid wrote:Conventional TLS wisdom is also that median at a T20 isn't transferring to MVP.ymmv wrote:Conventional TLS wisdom is more or less exactly what I just said.
