Top Law Schools

Currently in the top 25-35% of the class at a T25 (Think Emory/ND/WUSTL). Curious if i should continue to pursue transfer to MVPD and CCN. Would love to do BigLaw, but not sure if my school will allow me to get into major market big law firms. Came here b/c of the good alumni network and wanted the diversity from my UG (which was a MVPDCCN) school but now thinking that the network won't be as strong when getting into big law. Would like to go corporate/finance based work after grad. Working at PEG in-house in a major market this summer. Currently on Half-ride and turned down a few T-14s to come here.

Would it be better to push for top 5-10% of my class and hope for big law and not even apply, apply for transfer and see if i can push scholarship to >75%, or just take the plunge and transfer. Would it even be worth it to consider HYS (I'm a legacy, not that it matters for transfer at any of them). Would ultimately like to be in the Midwest, but wouldn't mind SV/East coast. Long term goals would be, as above, PEG/VC/Startup/M&A focus. If i transfer the move would be 100% finance for now, though there is a small chance (<10%) it will be paid out of pocket.

It kinda depends on what T25 you're at...if you're a ND or WUSTL student and you break into top 5-10% then you could probably get a job in the midwest. If you're at Emory then maybe it'll be different.

I'm guessing you're not a WUSTL student since we finished our finals already and therefore there is no more "pushing for top 5-10%" since finals are over. But there is almost very little chance you get into MVPD and basically no chance of being admitted to CCN if you're 25-35% from a T25. You will need at least 15-20% to be competitive at MVDP and 5-10% for CCN. So if those are your target schools then you should definitely gun hard to punch into the 5-10% via your performance during spring finals (whenever that may be)

Whether or not it's worth forfeiting your scholarship to transfer depends on what your transfer options are and the likelihood of getting your desired job from your current school (which is hard for us to gauge without knowing which T25 you're at) Could you narrow the T25 by region? Even knowing if you're at WUSTL/ND or Emory would help
