KU Transfer

Umkc looking to transfer to KU. Top 25% at current school. My primary reason for transferring is that I would like to start my career in Wichita. My wife will still be in school there when I graduate and I would rather not live away from her longer than the 3 years I'm already in law school. KU has marginal benefits in raw employment statistics. However, KU pumps out alot more alum in Wichita than my current school. I want to work public litigation, preferably criminal prosecution. 2 internships set up in Wichita over the summer (one partially compensated and one for the prosecutors office).
All that said, my concerns... One, I'm on the mock trial team at my current school which I would have to give up. The benefit to KU is that they do have more clinics geared towards criminal litigation. Two--this one would need to be answered by someone who has either transferred to KU or knows someone who has--does career services discriminate against transfer students? I.e. would I have the same opportunities for OCI'S as all other 2L's.
Finally, just for kicks, any chance at WUSTL strictly concerning my ranking?
All feedback is appreciated.
