Top Law Schools

I have a 3.42 (top third, 28% to be exact) at a T45. I am trying for either Notre Dame or GW. Softs are pretty good for a non-URM. Any thoughts? If I am out of my mind, what other choices may be available for me?

ND's market is Chicago, GW's is DC. They are regional schools and you'd be paying sticker by transferring to them. Where do you want to work after and what region is your current school in and what scholarships do you have right now?

I would ideally like to be in DC. I'm currently in the south east and paying half tuition at a school that can't really reach into DC. Also, I hate the region that I am in...

i don't think you would have better odds transferring to GW. especially considering the cost.

I'd do EA at Gtown if it is still available. If you want DC don't go to ND. Probably have a decent to good shot at GW. Not sure I'd pay sticker there though. Gtown is the better option if you can improve this semester and get in there

Unless he/she has all of his/her stuff in by Friday, including the transfer certificate he/she needs signed by his/her registrar and mailed, then it'll be too late for EA to GULC.

OP: I would stop whatever else you're doing and focus on grades. Get as close to a 4.0 as you can and GULC regular admission is a real possibility--if not then GW for sure. If you want to work in DC, and your school won't get you there, then paying sticker at GW at least ensures you're in the market you hope to break into.

There's relatively scant transfer data on anything outside of the T14, so my only advice is to apply and hope for the best.

ND has some weight in NYC and LA, so if those are targets it's a solid option.
