Loyola LA Transfer
Is it really that difficult to transfer out of Loyola LA? I heard some rumblings about it, but I don't really get the full story. Why would it be so difficult?

they will lie and deny, bamboozle and flimflam. they will slow down the process, guilt trip you and vilify you at school assemblies. they will hang and burn effigies of you on the campus quad.Anonymous User wrote:Is it really that difficult to transfer out of Loyola LA? Because you need things like letters of recommendation and good standing and transcripts to be sent. Schools can make you jump through a ton of bureaucratic hoops.

Re: Loyola LA Transfer
Loyola's ABA data shows that they had 16 people transfer out last year, so it definitely happens. Get your grades up as high as possible this semester and get the hell out.

Is this an 0L asking the question? As in, thinking of going to Loyola for a year then transfering to UCLA/USC?

Re: Loyola LA Transfer
Loyola 1L here. 3.7 Fall GPA (top 15%ish)
Aiming for UCLA/USC, but would much prefer UCLA of the two. I know USC has an ED option- does anyone know anything about this? What are my chances at both of these?
Oh, and of course I`m hoping to break the top 5-10% this semester. But not putting all of my eggs in that basket.

Good thread info
From what I've heard, you should be good, but you should also try and focus on this semester as well. You may be borderline, so doing well this semester is important.
