Hi all,

Does anybody have experience with transferring from a school where the first year curriculum differs from others? Specifically, my school has Con Law as a 2L course but most schools I know have it as a 1L course. What would happen at my new school?

You would miss out on Con Law. It's not that important anyway.

If you transfer to a school without having completed all that school's required 1L classes, you'll just have to take whatever class you missed as a 2L, with the 1Ls. I knew transfers to my school who took Con Law their 2L year with that year's 1Ls, and another who transferred in and took Civ Pro as a 2L in my class when I was a 1L. So it won't prevent you from transferring as long as you have the required number of credits total, you just may be stuck in class with some 1Ls.
