Do I Transfer? Cardozo v. University of Minnesota Law

I'm a IL at Cardozo with a 10K scholarship and have been offered conditional acceptance at UMN as a transfer student provided that my grades are at the top half of my class. I would also be eligible for law review. Do I transfer? I'm confident that my grades will be in the range they are requesting. I know it's not a T14 but it would still be a 40 spot jump.

A 1L like you just started or like you'll be a 2L in a week?
U Minnesota is not a national school and places poorly in biglaw, so if you're going there and paying sticker (as transfers do) hopefully 1) you're instate (so you can save $ and you have connections/ties for jobs) and 2) you want to do public interest work so your debt can be forgiven. These same problems also apply to Cardozo and the small scholarship probably doesn't make much of a difference, especially when you compare the COL difference.

Is this a new program? And did you have to apply for it?

You seem confused about how hiring is going to work. It doesn't seem to be a good bet either way. A UMN transfer with a 3.35 transfer is going to have a bad time at UMN's OCI.

Drop out now. That's a pitiful scholarship. You want to drop 200k on a Cardozo/UMN degree?
Drop out and retake.

What's your current plan looking like?
- Many valid points about dropping out, retaking and reapplying elsewhere.

OP has 1 post and hasn't logged back in since the day they created their account.
