Original Post:

UTexas class size: 57.

That has to be [UT's] largest ever.

[Edited to clarify meaning of largest ever].

I am in this class of 57. It is probably the biggest UT has ever taken but other top schools take similar or larger numbers like Gtown and NYU.

I don't think NYU took that many this year.

Yes, I meant largest for UT ever. Sorry... I originally posted this as a Texas thread, but then edited to make it more interesting, which left it a bit ambiguous. Edited above.

Berkeley (I've heard) = 32.

We haven't had any all-transfer events yet and I know a few people have begged out of transfer orientation because callbacks>all.

The 38 number was including visiting students, I think.

I've heard over 70 at Emory.

In the past it has been about 40.

70? yikes. i wonder if this is the new play by schools to make up revenue because of their smaller incoming 1L class sizes as a result of smaller applicant pools.

Well Emory had a class of around 250 before then... Typical size....

12 at Wake Forest

pretty low considering their 2015 class was down by 40 (~120 vs. ~160 typically).

So far we have:

Stanford - 10
Chicago - 23
Columbia - 45
NYU - 49
Berkeley - 32
Michigan - 23
Northwestern - 42
UT - 57
UCLA - 42
WUSTL - 32
Emory - 70
Notre Dame - 17
Wake Forest - 12
Richmond - 22

Aside from Emory and UT, it seems like these numbers are in line with what they usually are. I initially thought with declining applicants, schools would compensate by giving out more scholarship money to try to maintain their medians and would take more transfers. I guess not?

Also, OP, maybe you should update your post so it's easy for future transfer applicants to see.
