It sounds like a huge gamble. Does your school place at all into the secondary market the potential transfer school is in? I would think its not worth it, and the remedy is to heavily target the desired market via mass mail and informational interviews.

Almost not at all. However, that's not the utmost detterant like you'd normally think. I'd be very happy working in the market I'm in now.
