If you were top 5 or even 10% at Vandy I would say stay but you have a lot to gain by going to NYU....T14 status, better chances at BigLaw, and better alumni networks that could help you get into Chicago easier than being 20% at Vandy.

Also if you are looking at London eventually I guarantee a top 10 law school in NYC will be better perceived than a school many in London will never have heard about

I would definitely leave. I think it would be different if you had LR or were top. 10%. Go to NYU.

Yeah NYU. Only reason not to would be if you manage to leverage some srs $$$ out of Vandy.

NYU hands down. The international reach of a name like NYU is worth the 30k, and biglaw will/should be slightly easier coming out of NYU.

It depends. Are you going to be able to do OCI at NYU? If not, then I would think hard before transferring. If you can do OCI and it isn't too late to put in your bid list, I would transfer. If you want Chicago, it would be best. They'll still consider you as they would at Vandy, but NYU will have more firms from Chicago at their OCI than Vandy will. Your grades at Vandy will put you in range for a good number of firms there, I'm sure.

I'd go NYU. Being a transfer at NYU is a VERY good position to be in, and the transfers are among the most successful subsets of students at EIW.
