I'm sure there are a number of people out there that have applied to UM as transfers this year, so I figure a thread would be in order.

Michigan typically begins making offers mid-june, although the 17th is the earliest I've heard of someone getting the acceptance call. My application was complete early June, expecting to hear back in the next week or two.

This thread is to discuss transfer bids to UM and post stats whenever decisions start being made. Thanks!

I emailed last week to figure out wtf was going on. Finally got a response email today saying my app is complete. This waiting is going to be the death of me.

Anyone else?

I am also complete. It seems like, at least based on last year's data, the first batch of decisions should come out next week.

Does Michigan provide a status checker? All I got was an email saying they have received my app.

Did you ever receive an answer? It appears to me they "should" be sending something in addition to the email you mentioned (but perhaps that is only for regular applicants, not us transfers).

They were quick to respond to all of my emails right up until I actually paid for/submitted my application on LSAC. Still waiting for a response to a recent email I sent regarding my status.

No, I never got an answer. I finally called today to find out and they told me to email. Still waiting for a reply.

They don't do status checkers, they just give you updates through email.

The admission received my application June 12 and it went complete about a week ago. It took a couple of business days for the admission to arrive at a decision.

Okay cool. They got the final piece of my application on Monday and the admissions guy I've been emailing used the word 'complete' on Monday. Now I'm just waiting.

I'm in town for a week at my grandparent's place in West Michigan for the holiday so I took the opportunity to schedule a tour and a meeting with an admissions counselor for the upcoming week. Has anyone done this?

Checked it out yesterday. Stunning campus. Anyone else hear anything yet/expect to hear anything before the holiday weekend?

Congrats to the two above me! Hopefully we'll be classmates in the fall! Any idea on around when you two went complete?

I received official confirmation on July 3 that I was complete. They said they received the application from LSAC, though, on June 27. I assume at that point all of my other materials had been received because in that email they made no indication that anything else was needed.

It sounds like UofM calls transfers they decide to accept, but what about the unlucky ones, email/snail mail? And for that matter has anyone been dinged yet?

Trying to be patient but I'm one of those butterface applicants that they won't outright deny just yet, but not quite strong enough to accept yet either.

I won't hear anything until the end of the month, by which time the notoriety around campus from my TTTop dawg status will have the ladies in a feeding frenzy and lord knows I couldn't walk away from that just for Mich...

I checked last year's thread and it seemed snail mail was how they dinged you. I also saw a post from someone with the exact same stats as I have get the ding letter. I am really hoping that the drop in new applications opens the doors up a little more this year for transfers.
