Class rank for Yale

My law school doesn't give the exact numbers for ranking, but rather does it by percentage. If I am within the top 10% but really high, how do I indicate this?
Also, what's the deal with all of the dean's certificate requirements for transfer? Do the schools realize how ridiculous their deadlines are??

T40-50.
It's a remote shot but I am #1... or #2...

I can pretty much ensure you that you are wasting your $$, but I guess, if I were in your position, I would wonder "what if", so might as well just send the app at this point. At my T25, every single person who applied to Yale got rejected, including the top person in the class. Though a few got into Harvard, and thats where I'd focus my attention if I were you, since you stand a much better chance given their large transfer class and numbers-driven approach.

I most definitely agree, however there is no real "focusing of attention".
It's all the same process. It's forms and transcripts. So why not?

Some schools require quite a bit more documentation and work. I remember having to go much more out of my way for Columbia than NYU, for example (getting additional recs from more professors, securing undergrad transcripts from 3 different schools, etc.). If all the requirements overlap, then sure, might as well. Like I said, even if low chance, you don't want to wonder what if.

Agreed.
The process is extremely (and illogically) onerous. The deadlines are quick and the paperwork is repetitive. Not really sure why they do this...

If you're #1 or #2 at your T2, I think you have a reasonable shot at Harvard.
