Dean Cert. Question

I'm applyign to most of the T14 minus HYS. For the dean certification and ranking letter from my current school, do y'all know how particular the schools are about it? They call it various things. Columbia has its own form but I called them and they said just a letter is fine. Do I need to check with each school for this or can I just have the same basic letter sent to all of them?
I know this information is available out there, but I'd appreciate it if someone whose done the work in the past could save me the time.
