Top Law Schools

Title says it all. Thoughts?

If you have been accepted and have made your deposit to attend, I think you can go ahead and put "J.D. Candidate, degree expected 2015."
If you aren't committed to attend, then don't put anything.
This is also assuming that you have another line for the 1L year, presumably with a high gpa next to it. Employers shouldn't have a hard time figuring it out.

OP here: it's GULC - I've already deposited but I'm also waiting on other decisions. I was thinking of something along the lines of "Accepted for transfer at GULC, awaiting on decisions from other schools." I mean, would showing that I got into a T14 give me a second look as compared to my T2, especially since the job fair is preselect?

I would think that would end up being really awkward.... I'd leave it off till you've decided.

I doubt it will help much. Employers are probably going to be judging you based on your performance at your current school (since you don't have a track record at GULC).

That being said, it might be worth adding for D.C.-based employers.

This is hard. It may help your resume stand out, but I don't know of a way to phrase it without sounding awkward.

I'd say either 1) just put Gtown, degree expected 2015 blah blah, or 2) leave it off entirely. 1) is probably defensible based on the fact that you already deposited, even if you aren't totally sure you'll be attending yet. Who knows - you could end up there. 2) is definitely a safer bet, though. Personally, I'd choose 2).

Be careful with this. I put down Berks and then changed my mind and went elsewhere and it was hella awkward explaining to firms...I think I lost one or two shots by doing that. (Full disclosure had a ton of offers so I guess it didn't matter much, but I was fracking embarassed).

All I can say is try to decide where you are going before the bid deadlines. And do not worry if you put GULC on your resume, and participate in your OCI and then go to another school GULC will yank you off of simplicity very fast.
