Transfer Options?

I am at a school ranked 75-90. My school does not rank but the curve is a 3.0. I currently have a ~3.2 GPA and going into finals I feel good. I'm not sure if it is worth it to potentially look into transferring. If I do what options do I have (I've read arrow's post). Assuming I can get my GPA to a 3.4 on a 3.0 curve, what options do I have? Where would it be worh it to transfer. If I were to ace everything I'd have a ~3.6, what then? Thank you!

I would say apply ! Now is the perfect time to apply, as I know some people who were accepted EA that were not even in the top 10%, as most of this posts imply you must have. Depends on where you want to transfer, but looks like this cycle will be easier to gain admission to T25 schools outside the T14.

A 3.6 would get you into GW. Anything below that I'd say you're probably looking at T30 or below.

How am I looking with a ~3.4 for schools like Emory, fordham, And BC. If I were to pull a 3.7 do I have any chance at GULC?

Depends on what school you're currently at (I think it's easier to transfer if your current school is generally in the same region as your target school). Generally, I don't think a 3.4 is going to cut it at those schools (maybe Emory). If you do get in, you're not going to transfer and then do well at OCI with a 3.4, unless you have remarkable work experience or other softs.
3.7 would give you a decent change at GULC and almost definite ins at the others.

3.7 would give you maybe a 40% change at GULC. I had a 3.7 and I did not get GULC.
A 3.4 would probably get you in at the other schools you listed. And give you maybe a 40% chance at GW.

a 3.2 to a 3.7...that would mean you get around a 4.2 this semester???

Not necessarily. My school for instance gives first semester 20% weight of the first-year final grade and 80% to second semester. That would mean OP needs a 3.825 to bump up to a 3.7. Will obviously depend on what OP's school does though.

What the hell? Schools do this?
Also, focus your energy on studying right now. No need to worry about transferring. You don't have the grades right now.
