Logistical Question re Transferring

I have a logistical question regarding transferring.

Some schools (non-EA/ED) begin accepting applications early spring (late March - early April), however, they require grades for the entire first year to be considered as a complete application. Obviously, when the application period opens, 1Ls are still in the second semester. So, is there any benefit to submitting an application early on with only your first semester grades? Especially, since it is not considered complete until you submit second semester grades?

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

I would like to think that it shows the school you are interested in the school regardless of your known performance. Also, some smaller schools offer "conditional acceptances" based on first semester grades. (i.e. Wake Forest).

That being said, I have no idea.

Actually credited. I know a couple of people whose grades dropped second semester but were in contact with their transferring school and were let in even though their cumulative was ....
