Alright, if you anticipate that during the 2013-14 cycle you will get accepted somewhere between a 25-50 school, Tier 1.
And yes, you realize that not everyone can transfer, but if it works out great. Just curious what ranking would be enough from a Tier 1 25-50 to get at least once acceptance from T 14 if you apply to each of these schools as a transfer:
NYU/Columbia/Duke/Cornell
Would top 10 percent be sufficient from a Tier 1 or does it need to be higher than that?

You likely could be out of the top 10%, even way out of it, and still be admitted as a Transfer student. Being accepted as a Transfer student is generally an easier/higher yield (from an applicants standpoint) gambit to begin with and last year enrollments were down, i.e. more transfer acceptances this year.
When I was at a Wash U and we were ranked #19 at least 2 students in the BOTTOM 20% were admitted to T14's as Transfer students, fyi.

Don't post in the transfer forum if you're a 0L.
Don't go to a bad school hoping to transfer.

This is "A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another."
We have a terrific forum called "Ask a Law Student / Graduate" where you will (hopefully) be able to get the answers you need.
