I don't mind leaving Chicago. What T14's do I have a shot at? No rank yet.

I'd guess you're probably a little low for NYU/CLS (although I think if you can get closer to a 3.9 you'd be more likely to get in), and Duke doesn't really take transfers. But I'd say you have a decent shot at Penn, and a really good shot at NW/Michigan.Anonymous User wrote:Alright cool. Yeah, I think I'm in the top 5%. Say I keep up my GPA, think I have a chance at NYU, Columbia or Duke? I assume HYS are out.
I know someone from a Chicago TT that transferred to Duke with a 3.7~ and had no previous ties to Tobacco road. It seems Duke has a more holistic approach since they screen so few applicants. It is anecdotal, but it means Duke is not completely foreclosed. Columbia/NYU will be tough, but if you finish top 1-3% it will be doable. HYS are definitely out, and I would say so are Berkley/VA because they give preference to CA/VA residents respectively.keg411 wrote:I'd guess you're probably a little low for NYU/CLS (although I think if you can get closer to a 3.9 you'd be more likely to get in), and Duke doesn't really take transfers.
