Top Law Schools

I got a 4.0 my first semester and now I'm in my 2nd semester looking to transfer up. I go currently to a TTTT school and I was curious to know if say I got another 4.0 at the end of this semester, what are my highest transfer prospects? T50, T20, T14?

What prevented you from going to a better school the first time?
Can you get two good rec letters from law profs?

We need to know more about your current school and where you want to be / what you want to do after employment.

To just blindly answer your question, t50 is likely. t20 isn't really a thing but I would say equal parts likely and dubious. t14 is dubious with gtown being the most likely of the bunch.

As for whether you should go to a t50/t20/gtown, you need to give us the aforementioned info. Anon is there so you can be open...

I had shitty LSAT and UGPA, but ya I have a couple of profs that I think can write a good letter or two. Definitely 1 prof for sure.

T4 transfer cycles are very random/black box-ish with respect to t14s. With a 4.0, you'll get t50s for sure, and likely t20, but t14 will be a crapshoot. Just blanket the t14 and hope for the best.

Considering I was top 10% at a TTTT and transferred to Emory (#24), I think you'll have a good shot at GULC and maybe a couple other T14 schools if you maintain your GPA. Good luck!

Depends on which TTTT you are at. Potentially, sky is the limit. Don't lose motivation this semester.

I'm on the same boat as you. I didn't have great numbers for LSAT and UGPA....got to my TTTT law school, worked hard, and made the top 5% after first semester grades were released. Keep us posted on where you get accepted in the summer. I'm aiming for a 4.0 this semester to take a shot a Georgetown, but I would be extremely happy with any school in the top T25.

I would have applied to GULC non-binding EA if I were in your shoes. I think the deadline is is now over for that, though.
