As a recent transfer student, how would I go about mass mailing law firms? (i.e., include cover letter, resume, etc.)

Also, is it ever too late to mass mail?

Thanks for any input.

I've been mass-mailing my ass off. Its not too late, I got a V15 interview yesterday from a mass mailing so hit it hard. In some of my cover letters I don't list that I'm a transfer, just that I'm a rising 2L at my transfer school and my resume and transcript shows that I'm a transfer. Others I list that I am if the firms are in my old school's market.

You mass mail in the same way. Just put your new school in your cover letter instead of your old one.

I don't think I mentioned that I was a transfer in my cover letter. It's pretty clear from the transcript/resume.

I include that I transferred to say that I really wanted to work in that geographic location (I moved from NJ to MA). That is assuming it's to a school that is in the area of my new school. I'd take it out if the firm is in another location.

When we are mass mailing, who should we address the physical envelopes to? Should we just put summer associate position, or should you mail it to a specific person at the firm?
