GT, USC or Hastings

I am a California tier 2 law school student, and I want to practice in SF bay area if possible because my family live here.
I have been admitted to the three law schools above.
Currently I think Georgetown is the best option because I also consider going for academia after practicing for a while.
However, I am not sure if GT offers strong job placement in California, so some friends suggest me to consider USC and Hastings too.
Any thought?
Thank you!

You'd be crazy to go to Hastings instead of either of your other options. I don't know about USC v gt for bay area placement though.

Georgetown is slightly better at placing graduates nationally, but I think USC is your best bet for California.

USC has a very extensive alumni network at the best firms in California. GULC has people here, too, but not as many.

Then again, if you'd like Government externships/school year opportunities, GULC is a great choice.

Agree with above poster, can't really help with GT v. USC - prob USC given your goals of Cali, but I can't say that with 100% surety.

You should 100% write off Hastings in the equation though. just look at placement stats

Thank you for your input. However, I made it to participate in GULC's OCI , while USC's OCI bidding deadline passed before I received the admission letter. Should I take this into consideration too?

People don't generally go into academia after years of practice, unless it's as an adjunct. You're just not gonna have time to produce academic legal writing that people actually want to read.

good choice. gulc places fairly well in CA and since you made it to their OCI it's a fairly easy choice.
