Considering they make their decisions by either phone or email, I really need to stop viewing my status checker 30 times a day...

Re: Harvard 2012
I just found out today I wrote onto my 1L school's law review. Is this worth letting admissions know? I'm leaning towards no because I'd assume 99% of the people here either graded on or wrote on to law review.

Re: Harvard 2012
I graded onto mine after I app'd . . . I didn't think it'd be worth telling them. If our website says the top 14 students grade on and I'm in the top 14 students, how much is it going to help to tell them that?

Re: Harvard 2012
Mine is a combination of grades and the writing/bluebooking exercise, so I indicated as much when I updated my app. I think you're right that telling them that you graded on would be unhelpful, though.

Re: Harvard 2012
I sent them an update with my LR invitation and my class rank. So maybe that is why I haven't heard anything.

Okay, will do. Is the email address for updates just the usual jdadmiss@law.harvard.edu?

That's the only address I had. I've sent a few updates and only got one response.

That's a good question though. Some of the schools I sent apps to occurred after I graded on, while other schools that I'm still waiting on recieved resumes without that information. Should I send them an email? Or no?Slobberson wrote:I like how we're all scrambling to re-arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I don't think it would hurt to do it. Don't make any decisions based on anything that I say. I was just making a joke.

Right. There is no possible down side to alerting them, so you might as well do it. It will at least put your application in their face again.Slobberson wrote:I don't think it would hurt to do it. Don't make any decisions based on anything that I say. I was just making a joke.

Any decision would be nice to reduce anxiety, but perhaps a few more acceptances before ding-ageddon?

Given how many calls and emails have gone out, I don't see how there can be more than a few spots left. But, if that's the case, why wouldn't they have just packed those in with the email wave? I'm not optimistic there will be any more acceptances, except possibly after the deposit deadline.pballer wrote:Any decision would be nice to reduce anxiety, but perhaps a few more acceptances before ding-ageddon?

Maybe because everyone else was a clear, or at least fairly clear admit. Now, they have a few spots left and will compare some of the people for those few spots and look for some quality they would like to have. Then, they'll deny the rest. That's my hypothesis.TatteredDignity wrote:Given how many calls and emails have gone out, I don't see how there can be more than a few spots left. There were a couple "WTF?" admits (I'm sure there all nice people, and I congratulate them, but the numbers are what they are), but you're probably right. As I said yesterday, if there really were no spots left, they'd just ding everybody now. I suppose another possibility is that they are winnowing down a list of people to wait for after the seat deposit, and once they have that figured out, they'll ding everybody. But either way, it's not quite over yet.canesfan1986 wrote:

Yeah, hopefully Y and S admit plenty of the H admits. I'm sure some of the "wtf" admits have some kind of connection or have done something extraordinary. We'll be considered at some point and maybe it'll be a tossup, but there's some chance.FlanSolo wrote:There were a couple "WTF?" admits (I'm sure there all nice people, and I congratulate them, but the numbers are what they are), but you're probably right.
