Congrats! Anyone have any advice? I applied to several other schools and I have heard back & was accepted at Notre Dame & Illinois. I have to give both schools a seat deposit by 6.29 if I am attending. Haven't heard from Michigan which is my first choice, I still live in Ann Arbor! AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I'm assuming I'm not going to get in but I had to at least try...I am coming from a TTT, top 7%, Michigan resident, 3+ years WE in management consulting.

Hey all. There's a few of us Mich transfers floating around from last year, so if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask (either by PM, ITT or in the "1L/2L/3L" questions thread. Although to pre-empt, almost everyone who wanted a good firm job got it :)).

Also - don't worry if you didn't hear yet... I didn't get in until mid-July. It's really really early in the transfer cycle.

Just got the phone call...in!

Very excited. My big regret was not applying to Mich the first time around (though my chances would have been tiny!).

Will probably hit some transfers from last year up to discuss.

Good luck all!

Does Michigan have a status checker email that they send you? I submitted an application earlier this week and haven't gotten anything...

No status checker for michigan.

Does anyone how last year's acceptances rolled out from mich? I feel like they are just random phone calls? Or is there some method/pattern?

To those that applied, did you get some kind of confirmation email? I still haven't heard anything from them. Not having a status checker is fine, but I thought I would get some kind of confirmation by now.

Not sure if they send anything...although I recall reading that some people mentioned receiving an email stating that their application was being sent to committee review.

I did receive an email with the subject "Michigan Law School transfer/visitor application" shortly after I applied.

I received confirmation after I inquired as to whether my application was complete. Still no word for me however.

Finally got my confirmation/welcome email. Took about a week. Doesn't say if I'm complete. They seem to be moving pretty slow over there. At least for my application...

Ya, Michigan resident. Phone call with package delivered same day to MI address. Really good softs. Also, they took special note of my visit to campus among other things. I also think the optional essay; "Why Michigan" helped a lot too.
